Patricia Kiely

Patricia Kiely, Director and Gerontologist

I hold a Masters degree in Gerontology from University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford CT and a BA from University of Connecticut. After an over twenty year banking career, in both lending and management, I decided to embark in a second career in older adult advocacy. My job search brought me to JFS Care at Home, where I have been fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to take a vital position in growing our home care agency to the quality and caring program we offer today. With the support of our Care at Home team, I find tremendous joy and satisfaction in helping older adults and their families.

Care Coordinator, Geriatric Care Manager, MSW, Gerontologist

I have a MSW from Adelphi University in New York, and in December 2011 I earned a MA in Human Development/ Gerontology from University of Saint Joseph. I am a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP). My experiences as a social worker in New York and later as a family caregiver were the impetus for entering the field of services for older adults, and informs me in my role as Care Coordinator and Geriatric Care Manager. I derive great satisfaction in working at Care at Home and with our clients and family members.

Recruitment, Development and Training Coordinator

I worked for Catholic Charities in a variety of positions for over ten years and joined JFS Care at Home in 2012. I am a licensed CNA, a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), and certified as a Geriatric Care Assistant from the University of Saint Joseph. My passion has always been to assist individuals in reaching and maintaining their independence in their own homes. I very much enjoy the opportunity to meet and help support the caregivers and clients of JFS Care at Home.

I have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT. Since graduating in 1979, I have worked for various companies in the greater Hartford area holding various financial and managerial positions. It is very rewarding to work with both our caregivers and clients to facilitate all matters pertaining to payroll and billing here at JFS Care at Home.

Scheduling Coordinator

Before I joined JFS Care at Home, for ten years I had owned and operated a business focusing on identifying and developing staff to work with pre-school children. I felt very passionate about finding the best possible match. A few years ago my elderly mother became ill and I quickly became an advocate for her which included finding quality home care. With this experience I found a new passion, working with seniors! My position at JFS Care at Home gives me the opportunity to help provide experienced and caring caregivers, who contribute to our client’s quality of life.
